ILIMA Project: Towards Pure Isomeric Beams
Although the present experimental program at the SISFRS-ESR facilities has been quite successful and has led to several basic discoveries [1], the field of research is expected to be drastically extended by the next-generation facility FAIR [2]. It will consist of a more powerful driver accelerator, a large acceptance in-flight separator Super-FRS [3], and a new storage-cooler ring system speci...
متن کاملSeparation of isomeric disaccharides by traveling wave ion mobility mass spectrometry using CO2 as drift gas.
The use of CO(2) as a massive and polarizable drift gas is shown to greatly improve peak-to-peak resolution (R(p-p) ), as compared with N(2) , for the separation of disaccharides in a Synapt G2 traveling wave ion mobility cell. Near or baseline R(p-p) was achieved for three pairs of sodiated molecules of disaccharide isomers, that is, cellobiose and sucrose (R(p-p) = 0.76), maltose and sucrose...
متن کاملSeparation and Identification of Isomeric Glycopeptides by High Field Asymmetric Waveform Ion Mobility Spectrometry
The analysis of intact glycopeptides by mass spectrometry is challenging due to the numerous possibilities for isomerization, both within the attached glycan and the location of the modification on the peptide backbone. Here, we demonstrate that high field asymmetric wave ion mobility spectrometry (FAIMS), also known as differential ion mobility, is able to separate isomeric O-linked glycopepti...
متن کاملPriority Data Needs for Cresols
The Priority Data Needs documents are intended to characterize substance-specific priority data needs determined via the ATSDR Decision guide for identifying substance-specific data needs related to toxicological profiles (54 Federal Register 37618, September 11, 1989). The identified priority data needs reflect the opinion of the Agency, in consultation with other federal programs, of the rese...
متن کاملA peristaltic pump driven 89 Zr separation module
To facilitate the separation of Zr produced in yttrium foils, an automated separation module was designed and assembled. The module separates more than 85% of produced Zr – activity in 3 g foils in less than 90 min. About 10 % remains in the dissolving vial. The quality of the separated Zr activity was investigated for labeling of the HER2-binding monoclonal antibody fragment, trastuzumab-Fab.
